The GoldFocus Focusing System is available in two versions - GoldFocus Plus Collimation and GoldFocus High-Precision Focus without collimation. Use the following information to help you decide which GoldFocus Focusing System is best for you. The two most significant differences are:

GoldFocus Plus Collimation

GoldFocus Plus Collimation for Cassegrains:
Precision focus and collimation
for Cassegrains, Schmidt Cassegrains, Ritchey-Chrétiens, and any telescope
types requiring real-time secondary mirror collimation adjustments.
This model of GoldFocus Mask has a hole for access to the secondary mirror
adjustment screws with the mask in-place and the GoldFocus Analysis Software
analyzing real-time collimation and focus.

GoldFocus Plus Collimation for Newtonians:
Precision focus and collimation
for Newtonian reflectors and any telescope
types not requiring real-time secondary mirror collimation adjustments.
This model of GoldFocus Mask matches the aperture of a Newtonian reflector with a
secondary mirror obstruction but does not allow access to the secondary mirror
adjustment screws with the mask in-place and the GoldFocus Analysis Software
analyzing real-time collimation and focus.

Precision focus and collimation
for refractors and any telescope
types without a secondary mirror obstruction.
This model of GoldFocus Mask supports the full unobstructed aperture of a refractor or any
telescope type with no secondary mirror obstruction.
